SMALL PRIVACY CHANGES, CAREFULLY PLACED
Map the exposed panes
For an entry, bathroom or room near a path, identify the exact area through which someone can see. A narrow sidelight may need a different treatment from the main living-room window. Mark the panes on a photo to avoid quoting an unnecessary whole-room change.
Check privacy at seated and standing height
A decorative band can leave a clear line of sight above or below it. Think about children, seated occupants and the viewing position outside. For internal office glass, agree the coverage with the people using the space before settling on a pattern.
Avoid choosing vehicle tint by a photo alone
A tint photograph changes with light, camera exposure and interior colour. Compare the actual film options and ask about finished visibility. If replacing damaged tint, send close-ups of bubbles or peeling as well as a wider image showing the affected window.
What to include in your Dayton enquiry
- Photos with the exact panes marked
- Required privacy height and viewing direction
- Whether the project is one pane or a larger group
The quote builder starts with your suburb already selected. Approximate information is fine at this stage; measurements, product suitability and the installation arrangements are confirmed before booking.
Questions before you choose
Can just one window be tinted?
A small scope can be assessed. Minimum charges and product availability may affect the price, so a per-square-metre guide is not necessarily the final bill.
Will partial frosting stop every view into a room?
Only the treated area is obscured. Coverage should be set using the sight lines you want to block, not just a preferred band height.
